the WAYWT thread started as a thread to post what youre wearing to learn what works and what doesnt. And while i agree theres a lot of room for interpretation and personal style, theres still a matter of what works and what doesnt and what looks pleasing to they eye. This incoherent mix of fabrics and patterns do not. period. Sometimes we swing and miss. if you cant take it and it offends you, you probably shouldnt be posting fits on a forum dedicated to critiquing fits.

But i think you and I are just looking at this from opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm not here to get my ego stroked or to stroke egos. when i post a fit, i want to know if it works and if it doesnt, i expect honesty and i want to learn to better myself.

When I feel that way, I just hit like. If I wanna ask a question or offer some semi-solicited feedback, I'll respond, or if I think the person doing it needs some good feedback because I've given them some harsh input recently.

I'll only post "this is great" without comment or whatever if I think something is unimpeachably perfect – and to have somebody then come up like "why do you think that's so great?" is pretty reasonable.

It can be done well indeed - rarely but it can be. But it is an undertaking often frought with challenges and you can be an expert dresser without it.

I found the old pictures, as i said i'm not totally convinced :

I think the light blue shirt works VERY well, but im not sold on the blue tie. I personally think a hunter green or maroon would look great. Id probably like it a ton better as a 2 piece rather than a 3 piece

Perhaps if the tie had more texture to better match the more casual flair of the suit?

Yep. Couldn't agree more. Though the lustre of the blue tie here doesn't help, it cheapens the ensemble, IMO.

I would lose the square in a 3p too - but if ONE must keep the square, then donning it in a 2p works better.
