Hahah @EliodA thank you, I assure you the lapel chain rarely ever comes out, this is one of the few suits, if not the only, that I do like the lapel chain on because of the contrast though!

@Coxsackie It is actually fully black, the most accurate color would be in the second and last photos, it's a fabric from the Miyuki Keori Formals book

@ShawnBC It is actually, and I am assuming there is some stigma towards black here but I had to attend a legal forum today and hence the full black! Otherwise I rarely ever bother with black, though I do love the roll on this jacket :)

I think the black looks good. Are you quite short? You seem so on the pictures! (no offense meant)

To multi-quote, you simply have to press the "Multi" button on the lower right case of each comment you want to quote. On the last comment you want to quote, instead of hitting "Multi", you hit "Quote", which is right next to it! Easy as pie!

And yes, there is some sort of stigma towards black suits on here, you'll notice pretty quickly! I think it's just most people will prefer dark charcoal or a true navy instead of black, for versatility reasons. Given your context, I think no one will give you a hard time though, you seem to know what you're doing, as far as I'm concerned!

Please feel free to continue to post on here, I'd like to see you in other fits!

Brown and black...Yay or Nay? I know its pulling at the sleeve heads, but I am more concerned with the color. This suit fits better than my image presents.

I'm a little bit baffled, myself. As much as I like the combo, DL, I'm still wondering why nobody picked on the formality discrepancy between the white shirt/black tie/black shoes and the suit's patch pockets. I've seen people get picked on for formality clash less obvious than that?

Not trying to start a flame war, just trying to learn / understand why some people get a pass and some others don't.

Please enlighten me!

If you're 185cm that's actually 6 foot 1 inch.

You tall bastard you.

He specifically asked for feedback on the colour combo :nodding:

BTW, what do we think of Louis A's white socks?

Ok, I get this part. Still, how good can it be for the colors to complement each other if the formality isn't leveled?

I'm sorry, I'm feeling a little bit picky today - I'm way less picky than you guys, usually! Just tryin' to raise a valid question!

The shoes aren't more formal because they are black but because they are Oxfords. A sleek but less formal black shoe, like a Chelsea boot, would have been perfect. The colour combination is excellent.
