I didn't see any racist component in his joke.

Also, more to come, but:

NYI, thats DB coat is the bomb.

Cox, I wish we could get more full shots from you, as I am often unsure about the contrast of your jacket and pants, but I dont want to pass judgment without seeing a full pic.
Will try.

I think you are joking right? If so then sorta funny, I guess...
Not joking. (As a joke it would be in pretty poor taste.) Normally I would never think of such a thing, but I noticed this. Maybe because the tie is unusually wide for a knit, which draws attention to it, and then one sees it has a very unusual texture. That's probably where it should end, but something about it kept bugging me until I realised what it was.

Maybe I'm insane - probably completely unnoticeable and/or trivial IRL.

[p.s. - and of course, no racial slur was even remotely intended.]

So many good fits today. I'd like to single out Don though. That's a perfect country colour outfit!

Indeed it is! And I believe that tie is brown, isn't it @DonCologne?

so you are saying the texture of the tie resembles my hair? And for you thats throwing the whole look off? Ok...and by the way I never mentioned race in anything I said...And neither did FM from his posts..

Dunno about "throwing the whole look off". A minor nitpick is all. Think of it in the same way as a person with a ruddy complexion wearing a pink shirt - it might elicit a comment. In fact Clags once bailed me up over exactly this, and he was right. Pink shirts probably don't suit me. I'll still wear them from time to time, but I do look long and hard at those fits to make sure they're not "off".

Anyway, my comment seems (unintentially) to have raised some eyebrows, so let's just forget it. I'm sure you can wear that tie and make it look great.
