Señor Crust, I quite liked yesterday's tie. Are the figures gold or orange?

On the way to have lunch with a friend. Brooks Brothers Brookstweed jacket, Brooks Brothers Shetland (made in Scotland) pullover pulled over a Brooks Brothers flannel button down shirt, Brooks Brothers ascot, and umbrella. Squarextraordinare pocket square, L L Bean cord trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes......

Sweet God, this is good. I don't know what's better, the hardwood floors and library or three piece suit and hat. I just watched Magic Town ('47 James Stewart) and I have a larger appreciation for three piece. Albeit they were fitter, wore much wider lapels, double breasted, and it is good.

Newcomer, JLC makes movements in Patek. It's a very beautiful watch. I like it more than a speedy with ETA. My next will be Tissot from ETA, a bargain at $600 with +1 sec/day. Not talking down swatch group but I am praising JLC. A watch over three grand will be preowned JLC or Rolex with in house movements and not ETA.

Almost fantastic. I just wish you had keyed the tie colour to the shoes in some way - they both stand out as feature pieces with no coherence between them, forcing the eye to dart up and down - a form of cognitive dissonance thus being induced.

Comfortable, casual. Cut my face off bc I didn't like how it looked haha
Are you in fact Hannibal Lecter?

Er...not sure any current Patek has a JLC movement. In the past, possibly. Their chronos were always from a Lemania base until fairly recently.

JLC do make movements for just about everybody else though. I'm fortunate enough to have been through both the JLC and Patek manufactures (as well as Blancpain, AP, VC, Vaucher and others). They all employ the latest gear including 5-axis CNC lathes and various semi-automated finishing tools. To go one step further with finishing, you have to seek out independents like Dufour or Voutilainen.

Anyway - casual fit for a mild Melbourne summer's day.

I agree - the shoes were a mistake. I should have gone with something a lot darker. On the plus side I am wearing blue socks :) I think these shoes will work better next time: http://i.imgur.com/ERvAZXI.jpg
