Late to the game, but whatever. The MC v SWD debate never tires to be tiresome. No idea why there is so much invested in making some kind of competition out of it. They both showcase excellent style when done right, and atrocious style when done wrong, and anyone who wants to invest equal time, effort and money in either one can be successful to one degree or another.

No one has to like both, or either, for that matter, but neither one needs to achieve some kind of stylistic dominance either. Dress and less dress, as Paul McCartney famously said.

Haven't posted in long time, but here's one I snagged today. No selfie stick, but I assure you the jacket waist is nipped appropriately.

This is one of those circumstance where one size doesn't fit all. High gorge is the in thing but it will look ridiculous on a 6ft 9 inch man.

I agree. It doesn't look like a suit from 2015. But that isn't a bad thing.

And the rounded edges of the lapel are killer.

@MrChris

I'd like that four times, if I could.

Agree w/ @YRR92. The lapels initially threw me then I tried to imagine the effect higher notches would have and realized chocsosa doesn't need or probably want to look any taller. Really smart choice.

Everything is from Suitsupply except the Jodhpur boots and the shirt, those are from Charles Tyrwhitt.

Please excuse the low quality.

Truly exceptional Nabil - well done.

I'm picking up my own finished B&T suit tomorrow. Imagine the anticipation...

Thanks, Cox. I am sure you will be completely satisfied with your commission.

Thanks for the love, everyone, and @Pliny too!

Is that the jacket from the VBC Super 120 3-piece Hudson that came out about a year ago?  If so, I've been kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on that for what must be the better part of a year.

Quite out of season fit for me today, but the new flannels are done... in that I have them home and am deciding what, if anything, to still do with them. They're my first foray into a higher rise, and I did add width (from 7" to 7.5" leg opening) over my last pair from the same tailor - so they are roomier the whole way through. Also went from a 1.5" cuff to 1.75" and you can tell me if that's overkill since I'm a wee lad at 5'5".

I have mixed feelings so far; more good feelings than meh feelings, though. Additional thoughts and pics in the spoiler. Feedback more than welcome, and happy to take it over to GNAT if thats a better place for discussion. Thanks, doods! And very sharp pics today. Nice to see you here @brillopad!

Yes, I stood on my table. No, my wife wasn't thrilled.

More pics and some thoughts (Click to show)
Despite the wider leg opening, they still seem pretty pegged and I'm beginning to think this might be a difficult problem for me based on a very short inseam (26") and wider hips, which effectively means a substantial taper from waist to cuff. When you look at the side shots and the profile of the cuffs and shoes I think it seems plenty wide, but looking straight on it's pegged. Is this also just the nature of a pressed crease and could be alleviated a bit with an iron? Maybe that's a silly question.

Jacket could definitely stand to be let out a bit in the waist but it makes the pants look a good deal roomier than they feel.

See from the side I feel like the width is good... no?

Side tabs and no belt loops. On Instagram today someone brought up that the brace buttons look a bit far apart - so if anything I'll likely move the back ones forward by an inch or so.

I sit on the table too.

This is a wool-silk-linen Lazio I bought a few months ago, the Hudson is quite a few shades darker.

I like it, but it's probably the last Lazio I'll buy since I'm not a huge fan of the shoulder padding.

Oh, at second glance I see the pockets.  Still looks very nice.  Europe only.  A lot of windowpane models don't get sent stateside.  I guess they're not big sellers here.

The shoulders look very good there.
