HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 1577

For reference, the fit in question and the advice I gave on it.

CM sez: "I think you would do well with a higher buttoning point. The lower one really elongates you and makes you look even more bean pole-ish. The jacket isn't too long, but I think a slightly shorter one would look better. I also dislike the tie."

Those cream pants look 70's big.

Proof that you are wrong. This SVB fit incorporates nearly all of the suggestions I made and looks 10x better than what he posted before.

Two totally different styles. It's fine if you like one over the other, but SB isn't "wrong" and you are not "right."

Incorrect. The "style" in the blazer pic is undoubtedly ill fitting.

That is some serious timewarp swag on SVB's part. Note sure if intentional

A guy who doesn't like loafers dons string tie loafers? I could almost understand a handsewn penny but a string tie?
Murlsquirl, I fear you are on the precipice of wearing tassels. It's the next logical step and you are closer to that step than even you realize!

I wanted something for summer wear and a suede string seemed like the logical decision. I prefer the look over a penny. I will not wear tassels....you shut your mouth!

@Salad , I agree.  The descent down the slippery slope has begun.   Loafery goodness is now in his veins.

Hello again. What was the best fit this past week?

Edit - Loafers look great, Murl. I will assume that was the best fit of the past week.

Great look and the shoes look perfect also. Just curious who is the maker SC? Caruso?

I nearly, nearly bought that same suit from the SuSu store in Shanghai last week. It's their iteration of the Manton "blazersuit" - plain navy with patch pockets. I can't remember the block they used - maybe Hudson? anyway I suspect yours may be a previous season's, as the one I tried on had brown horn buttons, making the jacket viable as a stand-alone.

In the end though, I opted for a different suit in my favourite Lazio block, which will be featured on this threak as soon as I get the trousers hemmed.

Anyway, nice fit SycSyc. I would however recommend that you re-hem the trousers with 5cm cuffs and less break. And consider some less winkle-pickerish shoes for your next purchase.
