Don, not related to todays fit, but I think there is perhaps a time and a place for green, red and orange pants, but not with the SCs and ties you are pairing them with. I think they are much better employed with your casual fits that you post in MC casual.

First time posting in this thread, gentle feedback welcome :)

My thoughts for improvements:

  • longer jacket
  • sleeve rotation to match my arms
  • better shirt collar

Tuck in the pocket square.

How do you feel about the buttoning point (looks a bit high)?

Not a bad effort at all, JIMB! A nice classic combo and the suit fits rather well.

In addition to the points you and @Jamesgatz already noted, the closed, overlapping quarters suggest to me that either the front balance is a bit short or the jacket is a bit too tight in the chest. It looks like the front is pivoting on the button point. Does the bottom of your jacket stands away from your body at the front? A side view could also help to see what you need to do about the sleeve rotation, if any.

Finally, it looks like the shoulders are a bit wide.

Please, post more!

I'm looking for some comments about the fits that i post sometimes, always got some thumbs but never comments.

I think it could be interesting to have your opinion about them. Since i'm use to french forum where everybody give his opinion about the outfit, it's constructive to have also opinion from others people.

Maybe there is just nothing to say about them :bigstar:

No news is good news wink.gif

My only nit would be perhaps the check of the jacket & shirt are to similar in scale... But, your fit looks great, nice square smile.gif

@JIMB, indeed a reasonable effort. But the suit, while fitting you reasonably well, is just not well cut.

Look at Stefan88's fit just above this one. Bespoke suit, hence proportions and fit are nailed perfectly. Buttoning point is precisely at the natural waist. Shoulders look just right, and the way his jacket falls from the shoulder to the waist and through to the quarters imparts a pleasing "V" to the wearer's torso which is absent from your suit. Quarters sit flat and open up just the right amount.

Nevertheless the way you have combined colours and textures, while conservative, shows great promise. So much better than my own fledgling efforts on this forum when I was starting out! I really had very little clue.

Keep up the good work and look for the little details when considering your next suit purchase.
