For fans of pink suits, here's a picture from a few weeks ago.   There is a pink suit in a shop window in the background.........

Hi

I am thinking of a new casual (smart casual) look. Does an odd patterned double breasted waistcoat with shirt going to work without putting tie on?
Opinions Welcome ;)

Cheers!

I have no idea what any of this means, but I imagine a picture would be helpful if you want to get the discussion going.

Well, it might work in a costume party. In other contexts, not so much.

Sorry about that.

Basically just a sudden thought. Normally while people are wearing odd double breasted waistcoat (not from a suit) , from the images i found, they tend to wear it with a tie on.
I was thinking if it is going to work without putting a necktie on.
Hope that's clear

Nay, nay and thrice nay!

Could be a new trend though.
People used to put on necktie while wearing double breasted jacket (always), but recently things changed, some just put on DB jacket with shirts (without a tie).

Sorry for breaking the classic rules.

Nice, but not enough contrast between jacket and trousers. Looks a bit like 'almost-suit'.

Might be better with grey, tan or stonecoloured trousers.
