Bill Cunningham didn't take my picture (with my partner), as far as I know, though three other photographers did. One photo has shown up on a website called "Guest of a Guest", one was taken by the museum's own photographer, and will, if previous years are any indication, show up on the museum's web site in about six months. I will keep Googling to find where the third one went ( I obviously have no life . . . shog[1].gif

I am alleged to be fun with whom to drink, though I am the original "cheap date" - it takes little to get me buzzed. I can fully attest to the delightful company that Cleav can be, though our encounters have been lunches (the Criterion or La Petite Maison in London), not pub crawls. I will leave it to Cleav to recount his feats of alcoholic derring-do, and whether one would be trounced showing up at his local with a murse.

As it is, I like Chicago smile.gif. ).

Photos from it will show up in the NY Sunday Times Style, as Bill Cunningham was at the party, camera in hand, along with at least three other photographers, one (or two) from the museum itself.

Here are the pictures from "Town & Country"...........

^ Now these are the right proportions for you, if you ask me.

Like the fit of your items, SvB--though I'm sitting here sweating at the end of a 91 degree day, wondering how you can even contemplate tweed at this time of year.

Ah, you caught me. This was from last week and I just hadn't got round to posting it until now.

Agree wholeheartedly with Elio, SVB. That is a great fit, everything about the fit is right and works.

SVB, everything fits awesomely, nice fit. I do wonder, however, if a smaller tie knot wouldn't make it even better. The Windsor seems to emphasize your slender because it's such a fat knot. I may just be nitpicking and I can't even come close to such a nice fit yet but I just wanted to share the thought.

that's not a windsor knot

that particular tie has a really thick lining so this is actually what it looks like tied as small as possible.

I figured somebody was going to say this though.

Once again, avert your eyes, slub-haters.

Tweed with cotton trousers?

And where do you buy your ties? I know I've harped on your ties before (and part of me feels bad for continuing to do so, but I'm sick and warped and the tie is always the most interesting part of an outfit to me). I'm hoping to slowly convince you to go to GNAT for tie advice.
