Shugz, in a moment (!) of insomnia I was dwelling on doing a tie gallery. Is that what you mean or just a single shot of the stable? smile.gif

Exactly. Let your insomnia redound to our benefit.

If Cleav does a tie gallery then I will have to as well. Although I cannot say that mine will be as close to as spectacular as his will be.

After a hot and long ceremony recently... I finally bought my own gown after years of renting. My first anything from Ede & Ravenscroft.

And just a shot of the new square @Claghorn tipped everyone off to in GNAT...cheers!

I’ve finally realized why it’s become so difficult to find good brown neats, and I’m embarrassed because it’s been obvious all along.

Cleav has bought them all.

Cheers,

Naturally I was already working on it! :D Incidentally, this process has shown me that I now have over 100 ties. I don't even think it's close to overkill either.

Wut? Ties are boss. Why don't you want to be the boss, Noodles!?

I just sold 20+ ties at a garage sale. Mostly old silk hella-wide monstrosities, too-skinny Ben Shermany/Penguin type stuff, and a few ok ones that I just wouldn't wear anymore.

Now I'm down to maybe 35 and can think of 10+ off the top of my head that I'd like to add. I only have a handful of suit/jacket options, so ties and squares keep it more interesting. Plus I buy a lot of ~$20 pre-owned ties on ebay.

Why?

Because... TIES! If there was one thing that was ok to obsessively collect, this is it.

I am building up slowly by buying ties that I really like. I am a minimalist.

I collect gold bars, not ties. :rimshot:
