@EliodA
why the jacket is too short? A little short yes, but not to a point where I would consider it too short.

Is that a tie or a scarf? Either way it doesn't belong. That sweater and shirt shouldn't be worn - with what looks like - a suit. If you're wearing that jacket with odd trousers, then it looks like you're wearing an orphaned suit jacket. If you're trying to dress according to Classic Menswear, then you may be interested in reading this thread and the Noodles thread (http://www.styleforum.net/t/375309/noodles-good-natured-advice-thread-improving-a-business-wardrobe/0_50) from the beginning to learn more about putting together coherent fits.

On the upside, looks like you're also a Rangers fan! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I've written it in the thumb comment already (yay for having those back) but since people give you flak due to your shoe game, I feel obligated to state here once again how great this jacket fits you. Perfect buttoning point and lapel width for your frame.

@rms340 I am still getting use to this site I get all my stuff from the thrift store so I am not a big spender and yes that suit does have holes in it but I think it gives it character to an extent also that is a cravat brother. I'll post a more formal attire.

I genuinely like this David- I wear almost this precise combo (sans  patch pockets)  to the office quite a bit.  So it's not a typical 'Yes, but .."  when I say that IMO  a less obviously blue PS may work better.

I like the way you've paired a cream/ecru shirt (looks like, or is it white?)  with the  green shantung.

You take security guard to a whole new level.  That jacket fits u so well.   +  IMO this is the only odd jacket combo, apart from Summer linens, where a white shirt works. (Altho I wouldn't pair it with suedes)

I agree about Clag's shoes. Desert boots would look perfect.devil.gif

First post here. Decided to wait until I received my suit from a new MTM shop here in Chicago. The usually affair: Full canvas, Neapolitan shoulders, patch pockets. etc.

Outfit Thoughts:

1. The purple in the PS is much more subdued IRL.

2. Yeah my tie is crooked ha.

3. Overall not sure if the patterns and hues 100% work but it's a start :embar:

Details:

Suit: BLVDier (MTM)
Shirt: Suitsupply

Tie: Sarar

PS: Vintage

Just a thought, the shoulders on that jacket look too wide. Appears to be unstructured and I can see your real shoulder poking out on the left side. If they were taken in a little (which might then necessitate letting the sleeves down some) I think it would look a lot better.

 :)
