Nice and classic. Just the pocket square fold is a little incongrous with the subdued rest imo.

Normally, I'm not a fan of woven flowers, but this one is quite nice. Do you always wear socks in matching colors? I'm quite a fan of contrasting colors, but in subdued shades, here in navy, for example.

Thank you, Sander.
First time wearing the suit and the ps, so was experimenting a bit.
Here are a few more detailed shots. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

PS is one of those kimono silks from Vanda that I've come to like. Special colours, but the rest was as you say subdued. Necktie from Cappelli.
Trousers could have fallen better if I had tightened the suspenders a bit.
Shoes from Marquess on the Marquess round toe last, affected by three of my toes being of same length. Enjoying them a lot.

I liked the texture and color of this tie which is what drew me to it. Also the knot vs length on Bigi ties work for my short torso.

I do on occasion wear contrasting solid or simple pattern socks. I need to incorporate more greens and burgundies in my wardrobe. I posted in the GNAT that I used to wear a lot of obnoxious stuff and have moved toward simple items and thats something I need to work on.

Important day at the Club today

Played well but ceremonial duties (Captain) kept me from the winners circle (!)

For a purpose like this, really simple patterns like dots (mid blue on navy) or herringbone (same colors) work best for me. Still quite simple and understated, but not boring.

For my taste, there is too much going on between the tie, jacket and pocket square. Each would work as a focal point of an outfit. A solid navy tie would have worked to calm things down.

Thank you! But what about the blue tie I disagree.
Here we need green-purple or earthy hue. These are the laws of color harmony. shog[1].gif
The image is built on brown and green colors. Blue shirt and handkerchief - additional elements Palitra.
Blue tie here would be very alien element.
I would have announced on homogeneous brown tie in this outfit. But it's not blue.
Thanks again for your comment. smile.gif

Yeah, I thought about brown as well, but that would have been too boring with the pants, I think. Do me a favor and try a solid navy tie (something with rough texture, like grenadine garza grossa) with that jacket, shirt and pants. I think it would look great.
