Today I took a stroll in the woods and sat on a rock in forum.net/content/type/61/id/1475265/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL" style="; width: 500px; height: 341px">

I can't understand the comment on your tie. It is a great tie. Disregard it and don't give him attention.

Great, I'll be sure to drop this unlined seven-fold that has tons of visual interest off at the thrift store because you don't like it.

I think I've shown that I appreciate and attempt to respond to criticism, but what's with the "douchebag-chic" tone of certain people in this thread?  I can take the heat, believe me, and I've learned a great deal from a number of direct, forthright critics here about fit and coherence.  I do not, however, think that your legitimate questioning of my choices (why I chose a neat print over a textured grenadine) requires you to suggest that my tie is trash or that I wore this combination because I have no other options.  Among regular posters at least, the best dressed people here--upr_crust, Claghorn, Stichy, EFV, Anden, EliodA, Cleav, et al--do not stoop to this level.  I wonder if there's a correlation?

Yes? To be honest, it was thrifted so I don't know for sure. I like to think that because of the windowpane (as subtle as it is), the ticket pocket and its makeup (100% cashmere), it was made as an odd jacket rather than as part of a now orphaned suit (not that a suit couldn't have those attributes ).

I do wish the pattern was a little more aggressive, but whatever it originally was it is an odd jacket for me.

Yeah. It looks good, but I'm in the same boat as you.

^^^ I go away for awhile and you start wearing pants that actually touch the tops of your shoes...LOL

Kidding, but this is a nice fit. Well done!

Keep the tie, I would just never wear it, which I even stated was my opinion, which is up to you in how you interpret. I don't personally like the tie, but seriously more power to you if you make it work in your fits.

I'm sorry I don't have 10s of thousands of posts of good fits on this forum, but that it doesn't change the fact that, in my opinion, (take with a grain of salt if you feel that it's too personal) the entire fit looked good, but the perspective makes it look flat without some texture.
