Hahah, thanks?

I think it's mostly due to the shirt collar thing tbh. They really do suck.

Are you considering CM casual as SWD?

Yeah, man - wasn't meant as a backhanded compliment I can assure you. I think you've improved your CM game but from the SW&D fit pics I've seen I think you have a better "natural" eye and style with that stuff.

I was speaking strictly SW&D when I made my first comment and not really considering like casual CM weekend stuff. Then again, not sure how many fit pics I've seen from you in that category. I have visited the CM Casual thread here a few times but I really did not care for what most people wear there, so I stopped reading through it.

Personally, I'm with you - I don't buy as much as others (so it seems) because I do not use credit cards at all - I own one for emergency purposes and use it for stuff like a tank of gas or groceries for steady credit payment history, but that's it.

So if I can't pay cash, I can't get it. Helps me remain pretty disciplined, which I like.

And now that my wardrobe is more beefed up I am going to go with the whole 1 in, 1 out rule the best I can. Gotta keep that SF economy moving!

I admire you for not using credit cards. It really should be called DEBT so as to remind people what it really is.

I remember racking up $15k in credit debt while in college because they were handing them out like cupcakes back in the early 2000s. After painfully paying everything back, I was debt free...until I bought a freaking house in 2013. Now I am just wondering whether I should've purchased a house. 2,000 sq ft for then just 1 person. Ugh...

I buy everything with credit and then pay everything off at the end of the month. I'm paranoid about fraud, so I don't like using debit.

Haha it's all good. I think CM stuff is one of the things that you need to put in serious $$$ into to actually get better. I think the improvement you've seen has been in pairing etc, which is something that will come into making better choices when I do have some more disposable income that I want to spend on stuff like this.

There are a few SWD 'staples' I need to grab in the near future that should round things out. Thinking black jeans, workboots, etc.

Also @GMMcL - jacket looks great on you and I really like that combo...[/quote]

It's survived a couple rounds of purging -- I absolutely love it. I'm refining my tailoring skills (will post soon a fit of a vintage donegal tweed suit that I modernized and shortened), and when I get good enough, I will probably take a half inch off the bottom. But it's within range of my personal tolerance (which is more liberal than present company's)

I couldn't let Wearing o' The Green Week go by without breaking out this monster.

I don't think you're paranoid enough. If you were really worried then you shouldn't have gotten a credit card in the first place. But I get what you're saying. I hate giving my checking account # or my debit card number to any vendor so I usually try to use the bank's billpay or paypal

Same.

Must be nice! I had First Union who was bought out by Wachovia who was then bought out by Wells Fartgo. Customer service was excellent until Wells Fartgo came along. So we switched to GEICO and saved 15%.   a smaller bank.
