HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 1104

Yesterday.  I went to a workshop on 3D printing.  So awesome.  Our homework is to make a 3D object to print.  I'm thinking of designing a lapel flower/pin.  Coming soon to a lapel near you.  Notice how the socks don't match anything in the outfit.  And yes those are pi cufflinks.

Robo. (Click to show)

New Jackets. Guess what pattern? (Click to show)

I might get a few wears out of these before spring springs.

That jacket really needs some wool trousers.

It needs the matching suit trousers....but somehow, AAS makes it look pretty good as usual.

It does look like an orphaned suit jacket. I thumbed it anyway. Why? Because AAS does everything so well in a weird way that I can't help but think that he's purposefully wearing suit jackets as an ironic joke, or because he's making a statement that I don't fully understand but don't want to seem like I don't get.

He does, but I think this particular jacket could benefit from some wool trousers. We know it's an orphan, but some sharp wool trousers could make it look ok. The wrinkly cotton chinos don't really work with a smooth peak lapel jacket. Just look at the robo pose pic to see what I mean.

What color do you think would work well with this jacket?

Thanks, guys.  I picked up this jacket from a thrift store.  There weren't any matching pants at the store.  That's not to say that it isn't a suit jacket.  It's a Suit Supply jacket and it has a distinctive loose weave texture that makes me think it is sport coat.  I only own one suit so I'm not an expert on the matter.  All I can't say is that I like the cut and styling.  I've thought about selling it on many occasions, but am still on the fence about it.  I think it would have looked better with navy pants (my usual go to with this jacket), but I wanted to try something a little different.

Thanks! The suit is bespoke from Kotaro Miyahira / Sartoria Corcos.

My parents say that quite often, mostly to their grandchild when she was cheeky. :D

Very generous offer, @Claghorn
Thank you. Unfortunately I have scant time for recreational reading right now. For example, I am writing this during the 15 minutes of my son's "bed time show" (Big Hero 6, btw...well worth a watch) as that is pretty much the only opportunity I have when home.

There have been some recent comments about wearing blue trousers and from time to time there have been comments about things that some might imagine are too matchy-matchy.

I am wearing blue trousers (please see the picture that I posted on Tuesday) and my friend's watch strap matches my tie.  Wearing blue trousers is not as bad as some seem to think that it is and does anyone think that having one's friend's watch strap match one's tie is too matchy-matchy?

I'm beginning to wonder if @Roycru has another expression. Don't get me wrong, if you're going to have one expression that is the one to have.

IMO keep this jacket, it's a beauty.  Discard the grey SuSu.
