I am probably in the absolute minority here, but think a pair of Oxfords would have improved Crat´s fit tremendously. I don't think I have seen any suit-loafer combination where this wasn't the case.

If you go against group-think, bad things happen. Beware.

Today a 3-p-suit from the 1950´s with a white silk boutonnier. A new bow tie and an old handkerchief

You both look great, but I think your partner has you beat in this one!

I would tend to agree, on two counts - first, I am prejudiced in his favor smile.gif - and second, it was under my evil influence that he was enticed to buy that suit - winter sales at Paul Stuart this past post-Xmas. I am fairly sure that, without my taste for PS, that my partner would never have ventured through its front door.

Curious. Do you both make CM a hobby so to speak? It seems to me that most people who dress well have SOs who do as well. I can't claim to dress well, but I try, and my wife has that rare ability to be unique and classic at the same time with her wardrobe.

Lovely photo.   Thanks for posting it.

Terrific hotel location, too.  You were just a few steps away from Café Schwarzenberg;  I was quite addicted to their potato croquettes at one point.

Cheers,

Ac

My partner and I both have a pronounced taste for CM, and we influence each other's tastes. This makes for very crowded closets.

We ate once at Cafe Schwarzenberg, but did not have the potato croquettes. I do remember having the fiakergulash (goulash with a fried egg and a wurstel), and my partner had the Wiener schnitzel, with a chocolate mousse cake, and an Esterhazy cake for dessert. It was a pleasant place in which to hide out on a rainy Sunday evening.

Day 4, A bright square due to the darker brown jacket and trousers and depressing weather, back to single digit mornings.
