HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 1059

Ready for spring.  Tired of this snow and boots business.  I'm not sold on this navy corduroy square.  I thought about wearing burgundy or brown, but they both seemed too matchy.

She has a thing for buying her grandchildren shoes. She grew slightly wealthy (enough to comfortably retire...nothing extravagant) in late middle age as a result of a lot of hard work, saving, and investment. But she grew up really poor and only was able to afford one pair of shoes every two or three years as a child. She's suffered joint problems in her feet starting in her 20s as a direct result. Because of this, she has a thing for buying shoes for her grandchildren.

Yes, it can be a little like that. But one gets used to it quickly.

I love this fabric (two jackets almost in a row for me!). Would you mind passing along any details of the jacket (if you have any)?

Thanks!

Jacket is Canali Exclusive, fabric is wool/cashmere and almost certainly Loro Piana.

Cox, who makes your shirt?

Thanks. The shirt is RLP and has been roundly (and correctly) criticised for its rather stingy lapels. They look ok in this photo though I guess.

Wonderful, Pliny.  Is that Kent's soft shoulder?

@Pliny I'm echoing the sentiments of the gentlemen above. smile.gif

thanks,  ..'normal'.  It's taken me quite a few jackets, but normal shoulder considerably sloped seems to  work best  for me.

Nice. I didn't have much luck my first try. Might have to give it another go.

A lot of it is luck.  Just a hunch, but I think the KW block works best on smaller quite slim guys. You're large  with a big drop I think.   Seems to happen too with MTM shoes: the sizing up isn't always proportional.

Another shot.  Gorge looks low because of the position.   Slightly open front.  The pocket flaps are slightly larger to go wit the lapels.

I don't think so. Textures of jacket and trousers look decidedly different in the close up pic.
