Wait, first tou say it is a sharp contrast but now it isn't because th suit is lighter than navy?

Missed the first attempt, so can't say anything about that, but here I would say that the suit looks nice, but is maybe a little bit too "generous". It could definitely use some more waist suppression, to shape the jacket a little more. Also, the shoulders look a little too wide to me, but that could also be because they are rather structured. I would also consider slimming sleeves a little, and make sure that they are of the same length - there is something funny with the (your) left arm, where the jacket sleeve is notably shorter that on the right. Low left shoulder perhaps?. Anyway, an easy fix for a tailor. Trousers also look like they could use some slimming, not much but perhaps a little tapering towards the ankles will improve the over all look. Tie and square will probably not get a lot of love here, colours are a little too bright and shiny for my taste, at least. Also, I would tighten the knot more, so no shirt is visible above.

Here you could pull up the tie a bit (so that it covers the neckband of the shirt), maybe shorten the trousers a tad. Also, tie and square seem a bit shiny, but that might be the photography.

Thanks @SeaJen. It's a pair of Borrelli OTR, so I don't know the source of the fabric. But I actually have a pair from Luxire in the light-grey Minnis flannel, and they are very similar in colour but perhaps a little sturdier and not as soft as the Borrelli trousers.

It's snowing worse today than it was a day and a half ago. Suddenly these three layers seem woefully inadequate.
