HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 980

post #14686 of 43911
^^ This often happens to me, which is why you often see kids toys or my daughter's highchair accessories near my feet. Case in point today, which was the first time I did office shots: I completely didn't notice the ill-placed garbage can behind me (outside, but vis through the window) until after I got home, changed and was editing. I similarly failed to take off my ID tag. I edited them both out, as best I could. My Photobucket-foo skills are not as strong as Butchie's.

One of your best IMO GMMcL.  BTW u have the 'great Wave' square I'm guessing, any comment on the quality?

I concur. Tie and hank pop nicely against the soot, but the whole thing remains cohesive and balanced. Subtle handshake between shoos and tie erases any doubt of bawsman status.

Thanks, but I do not. Very much one of my favorite artworks, and very much on my "to buy" list, but not yet in my closet.

I'd like the 16" option. It looks awsm.  BTW I just found these squares by Ikire Jones  aka SF dude 'Woe.is.me' -   the actual pics are not necessarily my cup of java, but they're wool/silk, quality work = some would look great in the pocket IMO

@pliny

Thanks for the benefit of the doubt. That tie is definitely pushing it. The fabric is fresco. The jacket has a very relaxed cut (even by BnT standards). Triple wine glass (or tulip) patch pockets.

In the end, I liked the colors together too much to not give in to my rationalizations. I'm already damned anyway for so many minor sartorial crimes.

Just because I'm smiling doesn't mean I'm going to let you live.

Prior to Valentine's Day, some shops have special pre-Valentine events.  Sometimes these events can a pleasant way to do one's Valentine shopping as well as being great fun....

Brooks Brothers tweed jacket, pink OCBD, tie, and argyle socks, Thomas Pink pocket square, Dunn & Co. grey vest (the vest that I usually wear with a black jacket, grey and black striped trousers, spats, and the rest of that sort of stuff), Polo Ralph Lauren grey flannel trousers, and Allen-Edmonds MTO (rubber soles) Rutledges.....
