Ehmm, you do realise that his physique may be a not unimportant factor here?

The name was supposed to come from a New York newspaper called "The World". Alternately the series has been the World's Championship Series. The possessive being in reference to the fact that it refers to something with the name The World. This origin is disputed, but it is also thought to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek.

You tailor to fit the body, not the other way around. Sure, certain OTR fits might be harder, but plenty of brands don't cut their clothes for waifs as well. lol.

TLDR: It's about the cut. You fit the clothes to the body, not the other way around.

Well, my point is that it's a lot easier for someone with skinny legs to have his trousers cut so that there's still some excess cloth when sitting. For someone with more ehmm, soft tissue in the thighs, that is likely to result in trousers that look like a tent when standing. Basic math really.

Also, RTC and I have a long tradition of disagreeing wink.gif

It can be argued that trousers should be cut to fit well when seated nowadays, seeing as most of us have a relatively sedentary lifestyle. I've switched to wider trousers about a month ago, and I haven't looked back since. It takes some getting used to, but it doesn't look bad when standing and at least it doesn't look like you're bursting out of your trousers when you're sitting. Pleats help too. Skinny trousers only work for those with chicken legs.

I too have come to similar conclusions.

Anyways, fit aside, that fit is awesome, Shen.

Now that would be a hell of a trick.
