New Shoes1, your last few fits have hit a nice stride.  I like today (might have picked a different PS) and the Friday Challenge fit a great deal.

- the buttoning point which is way too high
- the trousers, as others have already mentioned
- the blue shoes that are way too casual for the top half
And I wouldn't have such a hard time trying to figure out what's in the bottle behind you biggrin.gif

@jfrater
I don't care for suits with stripes like that at all,  but that tie is wonderful!

Thanks EliodA. It cost a ridiculous amount (I bought it off a StyleForum eBayer I believe) but I have my vicuna fix now so that's what matters smile.gif

What's your opinion on the softness of vicuna relative to cashmere etc?

x-post from FC

Props to EFV for the color inspiration. Pitti checklist: hat, patterned bag, bold overcoat, bold gloves (bonus points: gloves in overcoat chest pocket, more bonus points: two pair of gloves), bright colors, classic patterns, big scarf (bonus points: sport coat buttoned over scarf), loafers, bright socks, lapel flower, several items in the same pattern (bonus points: black watch, more bonus points: double glen plaid).

Vicuna is significantly softer - it's very light and if you close your eyes and hold it it feels like cotton wool.

This is one great big world of pleasure right here. Love it all. How do you come up with these ensembles?! May I ask where your trousers are from?

Thanks.  I come up with these ensembles through trial and error and a lot of practice over the past four years.  The pants are from Uniqlo.

This guy just got blogged from Pitti. Nice to see him copying my style.

(Gotta say his overcoat is pure awesomeness though...)

Probably a n00b question, but how does one describe the weave of this fabric? I've been looking for a light to mid gray fabric like this for a suit. I thought it was nailhead (some of the pics I've seen describe it as such), but what I've gotten has been much less "streaky" and more 50/50 (white & black).
