I agree, that is a fantastic fabric. May I ask who made the suit and/or milled the fabric?

Me today. This coat is unhip, and not a great fit, but I like it anyway. Same goes for the shoes.

Why is that sc unhip? I like it a lot. It's got subtle colors that are interesting and make it a piece that can be matched with more shirts, pants, and ties. What size is it?

Thank you. It's unhip because it's unvented, strong-shouldered, and loose, and (especially) the lapel notch is set much lower than on contemporary clothing. I don't like it any less for that, but I always pessimistically assume somebody on here's going to inform me it's dated, when I'm already aware of that.

As an Armani fan, I'm not surprised you like it, because most of those cues originate with Giorgio's really influential '80s collections (though this is from a no-name brand, and the early '90s by my guess).

Also: when you quote a post, you might want to use the spoiler function to hide the photos. It makes it much easier for people to scroll through the thread.

What was worn today:

I feel "meh" about the overcoat, does the job though.

A pair of circa 70s Tacks would work much better with your outfit.wink.gif

u could land an F16 on those shoulders and don't get me started on the gorge .. wait. :)

You're spot on with your provenance YRR. That diving gorge searm is a 1990s Armani signature.  FWIW i think it works as a vintage loook. love the square

That sportcoat is Armani's homage to 30s Hollywood.

If sc becomes available I'm happy to acquire it. It being an Armani is a pleasant surprise.

I like the top half, but not the bottom. Why so dark on the shoes?

They're brown and not that dark, just look that way in the picture.
