HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014) - Page 777

I was inspired by the recent bow tie FC (especially by upr) and earlier this week got out my Churchill bow.

Suit - Luigi Botto

Tie - T&A

Shirt - Hawes and Curtis

Hank - Mr Porter

Shoes and sox - Jeffery West black double monk and dark grey PRL

Thanks mate. It seldom comes out unless I can pair it up with a vest. Bought two yesterday, the green one as shown and a black one both from John Smedley. The factory is only 10 miles away so it's always a treat to go have a look around.

Must say that I am admirer of your T & A bow there. As said some days back that is something I need to address and yours works a treat nod[1].gif

Thanks old boy.  I suppose at Christmas I feel able to take the odd risk...

Garry and Cox (windowpane fit), really excellent stuff.

This suit is probably unusual enough to warrant a few snaps and a post :satisfied:

Fox lightweight tan herringbone flannel, smoked MOP buttons

That is an interesting suit indeed. I like it. Very seasonal tie.

Looks great @gdl203? As I recall you are quite tall so I assume that is a long. Every time I look at the NMWA suits the longs  are well short of what I need.

That one is bespoke but the same length as the 54L that I take from the rack.  I'm 6'2"

@gdl, That fabric looks like a very nice weight.

I've never had a lightweight flannel, so I wanted to give it a try.  Of course, it doesn't fall as straight and flawless as the heavier stuff, but it wears incredibly comfortable.

Yeah, I like the colour (and the cut), but it does seem as if it is creasing a lot more than the more standard, heavier flannel, especially on the arms.

It is softer and finer so it ripples more - but the full body shot has that dramatic overhead lighting that accentuates it.  It is a lot more natural looking IRL (and on the other shots).

I have a lightweight flannel suit, and while it's not as sharp as the heavier stuff, it feels great.

DonC, the colorful cords seem to be your thing, but if you're going to wear them in these combinations, I think you should get cuffs to help make them look sharper and drape better.
