I've noticed that there has been a dearth of postings by our favorite poster, Stitchy. There may be many theories as to why In Stitches has not been posting of late, but I have my own theory. Stitchy has been kidnapped by time bandits, who have transported him back to 16th century northern Italy, and used his resemblance to a local nobleman for their own evil purposes. What's worse, on pain of torture and death, Stitchy's been forced to eat prosciutto.

As evidence, the following URL:

http://www.royalacademy.org.uk/exhibition/giovanni-battista-moroni#gallery

(See Prospero Alessandri)

Even with his transport back in time, however, it's good to see that Stitchy's maintained his sense of style.

He has indeed, that ruffle!

I vaguely recall a passing remark or two on another thread (the GNAT, perhaps?) not too long ago which suggested that i.s. has posted less often here of late just because (1) he's not made any major purchases recently, and (2) most of his current wardrobe has already appeared on WAYWRN.  I paraphrase, of course, and I could be misremembering.

Cheers,

Ac

Yes, that's him! Probably, he's just visiting his tailor: http://www.royalacademy.org.uk/article/a-tailor-meets-the-tailor

I didn't want to put u in the red shirt of death-  those operational guys were expendable  & clearly u are not. :satisfied:

I like it, but your square seems a bit affected, and your pants don't hang cleanly (because they're too narrow through the upper leg), and make your feet look rather large (because they're too narrow through the lower leg).

You earn the name. The shoes are very nicely shined.

But I'm not sure what choices led you to wear casual black shoes with a brown coat, plus a very formal shirt and tie. The different elements don't seem to be at home with each other, to my eye (of course, the photos don't really give a sense of the whole). Something's gotta give, I think. With a dressier jacket (navy, with or without windowpane, would be choice IMHO), the shoes, shirt, and tie pretty much make sense. With brown shoes, the coat makes sense, but the tie and shirt are even further out in the cold.

Cutaway collar denim shirt is going to be "the" 2015 shirt, I'm calling it now -- same way shantung was "the" FW 2013 tie (I'm still angry about that).

'Cept I like the cutaway collar denim shirts.

It's happening.

May I ask where you got that one, AAS? (Also, that whole rig is killer).
