Really? Never heard that one. Seems weird to me. How could anyone possibly think Beethoven was Austrian? To me, his music is the epitome of Germanness. I suppose it's because he lived and worked in Vienna for most of his adult life. (Another personal bon mot - my parents in the late 40s lived for a while in a "Beethovenhaus" on Schwarzspanierstrasse.)

Because, as you correctly pointed out, Beethoven moved to Vienna and is often referred to as being a member of the first Viennese school (though he was born in Bonn...I think...)

Is the fabric of your jacket made by Scabal?

It takes a lot of practice to get right. I finally had mine down--standing in a doorway, contropposto, until I moved and lost the nice lighting.

Excellent! @claghorn, where is that jacket from? I'm on the hunt for a dark brown cord jacket right now.

Just got the Xl from east Dane ... Thought I would post pictures. What is the difference between l and Xl in stark

That's just nitpicking, but shorter laces too, because the loops look very long.

thanks! Hard to find high collar shirts off the rack and I love the quality of CT shirts. I do have a couple of shirts with higher collars. I'll make sure to double-knot the laces!

cheers. Only really starting to get into this stuff so all feedback is great, however critical.

What color is the stripe in the shirt?

I'm glad you take it this way.

Looks pretty much the same as my wedding band. Silver, thin, plain and simple. Nice

If my wedding band hadn't been my late grandfather's (which has been slightly modded - it's over half a century old), I would've been more than happy to wear a band from El Stitch!

Looking sharp as ever there, Captain! (Shame about the moustache, though...) Is that jacket black?

Ironically, dear heart, I'm just tidying up my first draft of my Captain's acceptance speech. I accept, officially, tomorrow evening! Can't wait. The tache had to go for my Club portrait, vain of me I know...

The jacket is a brown cantarelli (from Spoo) I love it.

I hope you and yours are well.

Superb look again, mate. Love the chair, too. I have one myself in my library.
