What is the American parlance?

The physical receptacle into which one relieves oneself, aka throne, latrine, crapper, shitter, bogger, etc.

Sunday brunch.

Friday night. I was also wearing a cream silk hank (hidden behind the jacket) and a pair of brown half-brogues (hidden because this is a better frame).

We use it in both that way and to describe a restroom in its entirety. Although Bathroom or washroom would be a nicer way of putting it. Reevesie was having a little joke there.

That's a lovely shade of deep dark blue Mr B, if my iPad screen can be believed. I see this colour in old films and occasionally on here, but almost never in the real world. Very nice.

Quick question.  Are raw silk ties ok for fall/winter?

Not the traditional season for them, I think (spring/summer). I abide by that "rule" but in the end, why? If you like the tie and it fits the fit, then enjoy.

No, but then I don't think they're okay for any other season either... tongue.gif
