I wanna see more posts WHAT DO I WEAR TO THE LIBRARY IN BROAD DAYLIGHT

And for that reason I'd never wear $2000 boots to a club ;) No need to get them stepped on and spilt drinks on all night for no one to notice, and it hardly gives any wabi sabi to have a pair of boots that got trashed at a night club.

And I guess people care a lot about it since they want to go and pick up girls, and want to do whatever possible (even though clothing probably isn't the determining factor for most here as you say yourself) - for most people that wouldn't be the case at a library.

I'm old and know little about clubbing. But the few places I've been would never let you in dressed like some of these examples. Dress up and go some place nicer. The girls will be drunk there too.

But then I'd rather pick up girls in a library.

Yeah, but you have to remember it's also very dependant on your age/your friends. The places where I go, which are considered some of the hottest(?) places for people my age, do not require you to dress up - actually you would stick out in a bad way if you did. If you dress "fashionable" at these placers you wear sneakers + black jeans + t-shirt/shirt + leather jacket.

I need to remember to watch this video next time i'm on ketamine again

I wear Yohji and my Damir boots when I go clubbing. Just to make sure it hurts a lot more when I'm stomping on people's feet and to guarantee I'm that extra obnoxious when I'm spinning around with my Yohji trench and hakamas flying into people's faces.

That's my point actually. :) It makes it hard to give meaningful advice to the op. If he thinks bright red pants will work well for the places he goes, then he should try wearing some.
