I have been visiting YWY Hong Kong shop for the past 2 weeks to get my first bespoke suit made with them. It's a very basic light Grey herringbone VBC 110s 2 button suit, which I plan to use for daily work commute and occasionally for interviews. I am very happy with my choice of fabric, as the color and the subtle pattern all look very good on me, especially the pants. Their price seems to have gone up a bit, based on what I found in the old YWY suit threads here and the price I actually get quoted. Still far below Chan's though : )
I have done 2 fittings so far, and plan to get a final one in a week. I have taken a few pics of what I have got so far, pasted below, and I feel I really need some good fit tips on how this can be further altered from some experienced SFers. I would like it to fit my body well, but not too well that makes me look too skinny (my figure is definitely on the skinny side, so I hope a suit would help create some extra volume).
Here you go:
Obviously the shoulder pad needs to be cut, but it's not done at this stage yet. Do you guys think the button stance and lapel width is appropriate? Any other things that might raise an eyebrow?
The side and the back. The back does has a few wrinkles here and there, which looks a bit untidy, do you think? is the waist too tight?
Pants. I like the length of the pants, with a subtle break above the shoes.
Any general feedback on what I should communicate to YWY next time I go there? I will post photos of the finished products once it's done, if you guys are at all interested to have a look. Thanks you very much : )
