want to buy a new cell phone

i currently have a cell phone but the style of the phone looks real bad. Currently i have a plan with my family in the t mobile family plan. I plan to buy another cell phone and just use that phone instead. I see the motorola Razr Gold one... the one that is with Dolce and Gabanna.

Does anyone know whats the retail price of this phone assuming i just buy it without a contract since i am already stuck in my family plan? I see prices ranging from 199 to 400 dollars but does anyone know what is the retail price without contrract?

I also had people tell me that they hated their motorola razr because it had a bad reception and was too thin... not sure why they hate having a thin cell phone. Can anyone recommend me any other cell phones compatible with t mobile that is not big like blackberry b/c i am not interested in those

thank you.

well it looks shiny and the price is around 300 or so on ebay. The size of it looks great b/c its thin but some people have bad things to say about it like saying I know a woman that bought it for 400 dollars and think it looks good. Can you recommend me a good one?

I think it looks really tacky. By all means get a razr because they're very thin and i love them for that, but a gold one would be fugly.

I heard many complaints about the keyboard of slvr getting f-ed up by a few rain drops or normal table contacts. Not sure how serious of an issue that is...

I have the silver Razr and it looks okay. Seems like the field performance isn't very good though, mine has a few small problems.

May I suggest-

Nah, just kidding. Maybe if someone has used it they can comment on it.

This one is only 1.3 million dollars.

In all honesty, my dad has a Blackberry 7270 for work and I will be getting an 8830, they seem pretty nice but I don't know if you need everything that a Blackberry has.

First of, Motorola RZR series phones are garbage as electronic device. As a fashion statement, mm? May be.

Second, the US mobile phone coverage is so bad that you need a dual, digital/analog phone with a huge antenna sticking out of it.
I think Verizon is coming out with a metal helmet that works as cell-phone antenna for those mobile users on a go.

I am utterly disgusted with phone selection as well as coverage in US.

I have no complaints regarding the Rzr, it makes calls and takes calls, that's all I really use my cell phone for anyways. The only thing I hate, is everybody has one.

same. i've never had a problem with either of my razrs. I had to buy a new one because the first one slipped out of my pocket in a cab. ditto about everyone having one, but whatever, it's very slim and fits nicely in my jacket without creating a bulge, which was why i bought it.

The only problem I have with mine is that very rarely it will just cut calls and shut itself off; that's about it. I have a belt clip so I don't really care too much about the size; it's almost always under a shirt anyway.
