I was packing up some stuff from my room at the parents house and I found a pair of shoes that I hadn't worn in years. They are in great shape and I finally figured out what always bothered me about them -- the vamp seems to be a bit long. And the reason, it seems to me, is that there are only three eyelets for the laces, so that accentuates the vamp. It occurred to me that there is room for another pair of eyelets and that would really solve my aesthetic problems with the shoes. But, I don't know if this is possible to do, particularly to do at home with a nail or something. Any thoughts? I'd rather give the shoes away than ruin them.
