hi i'm new to post but this caught my eye.

anime hair actually originated from real life people. it originated from visual kei to be exact.

gatsby is one company that makes products that can achieve the hair you desire. http://www.gatsby.jp/tv/index.html check it out whether or not it is pretty interesting to see.

Interesting input, Juujai. I'm somewhat familiar with visual kei though I hadn't really drawn the line between visual kei and anime in instances such as have been given in the pics from the first post. Actually those pics on the Gatsby site look pretty gool, hehe. My Japanese isn't good enough for it though I'll try to find some pics on it. I'm getting to the point where I'm no longer satisfied with my hair and am thus pulling my hair out trying to find something else - not literally, of course.... Hehe.

That Gatsby site, so far almost every video I've taken screenshots of - it's a great site that shows you some stuff even if you don't understand Japanese. Gatsby looks quite amazing, anyways. Thanks.

Though I cannot cite any information to directly contradict this assertion, but here are a few facts for consideration:

1) Astro Boy debuted in 1963
2) X Japan was founded in 1982
3) Luna Sea > All, hands down

Hahaha, yeah. Though Astro Boy was early manga, the more extreme anime styles prevalent in today's anime weren't in Astro Boy as far as I know. But, I haven't read Astro Boy. And Luna Sea is (or was, rather - as far as I know they're not around anymore) definitely one of the best VK bands out there.
