I'm kinda 'meh' on Paul Wall. When him and Cham were together, though, dudes made some great tracks.
When they were together and making underground mix-tapes I actually liked them, but since seperating and going mainstream, they have kinda lost that edge. Cham is a pretty good as a lyricist, but he raps over these bubble gum MTV beats that cause my ears to bleed.

what goes for Ghostface and Pap, is your head really so small that you can't like two different artists? I think Papoose has a sick flow and delivery and can be a ******* beast on the mic, I'm not fanatic about all his tapes but he has some very good tracks. Ghostface is ghostface and one of my favorite artists. those two are very different MC's, personally I like both, I'm not even trying to compare them.

Judge 'lyricists' by their lyrics. Judge rappers by their delivery/flow/ability to work a beat (and fine, maybe lyrics - but that comes last). Wayne has never claimed to be the best lyricist alive. Just the best rapper. And he is.

For me, a truly great rapper can say the word "spaghetti" over and over again for 32 bars, and turn it into a great track (assume there's a good beat). Aesop Rock, Freeway, Peedi Crack, Wale can do this. Sage Francis can not. Therefore, Sage Francis = ****** rapper (and I guess if you're a middle-class over-emotional white dude from the suburbs who thinks rap music is about higher states of consciousness and getting the girl next door to understand your emo-ness, then he's a good lyricist).

Also, kids in my neighborhood (formerly Crown Hts, now Sp Harlem) bump Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Juelz and Pitbull out their cars, on the stoop and at parties. This also merits that they're great rappers.

What does Lil Wayne do best? And how can you be the rapper when your not a good lyricist? Spanish Harlem? PR's are typical a few months behind on the trends in rap, BK would be a better place top gauge from and they're listening to Uncle Murder, who can't rap. And no one nowhere thinks Pitbull is a good rapper, period.

I disagree, very few rappers that have actually been recorded are more boring than Papoose.

I do take back what I say about Ghostface, relistened to some of his stuff and I get it. he is still behind Method Man though, in terms of Wu Tang alumni.
The chef is the best from the Wu, I still listen to the purple tape.

Clearly you know nothing about rap, Uncle Murder is a street rapper probably the most street rapper out. Harlem and Spanish Harlem (hence the name Spanish Harlem) aren't the same place nor do they dress the same or listen to the same music.

I'll admit it, I actually kind of like Pitbull, atleast more than the other mainstream Spanish-English rappers like Big Pun, and Fat Joe.
