When you set the bar that high, you enter mafoofan territory. It's not for me or any other customer to say that Kabbaz prices or his reputation are "justified." I suppose if I believed they were, and if I wanted to take the time, I could write out a lengthy argument as to why I thought they are justified. But then all you or anyone else has to do is say either "not proved" or "even if everything you write is true, they are not justified." "Justified" is too much in the mind of the beholder.
All I can say is whether I think the shirts are good (I do), whether I think they are better than shirts from other makers I have tried (I do), and whether they are enough better to make me want to pay his much higher price (I don't).
That doesn't mean I necessarily think is price is unjustified. He would claim that his higher price is necessary to produce his level of quality. Since I don't know where else to get his level of quality at any price, maybe he's right. I don't know. All I know is, the marginal improvements in quality from Geneva to Kabbaz are, by and large, not worth paying 3-4 times per shirt. That is, not worth it to me
Is that rational enough for you?
