hmm from my experience with bius it seems that it was vegetable tanned, well black was. I do remember my sbuc looking a bit messier after rain but i figured that was most shoes in general. shell cordovan looks messy as well. reverse leather seem to be cool in rain.

BIUS are white tanned according to the little booklet even in black. yeah reverse leather tends to have little issue (cosmetically) in the rain probably due to its absorbency.

a few. :embar:

- 2010 diagonal zips (AM/2601L) in BIUS-PTC/010

- 2010 diagonal zips (AM/2601L) in LUC-PTC/010

- 2010 derbies (AM/2600L) in ROOMS-PTC/010

- 2009 side zips (AM/2446L) in ROOMS-PTC/012 (recent trade, should post pics)

- 2010 drip sneakers (AM/2524) in ROOMS-PTC/012

previously have owned a pair of unlined diagonals in CUL-PTC/019 and a pair of scarred black cordovan (CUBA?) a long while back. prefer the lined style in the diagonals as the front seam on the shaft can be slightly uncomfortable on the unlined.

considering a pair of drips in a lighter colour, either 01 or 033...

oh damn...

for me its the following
AM/2521SX LUC-PTC10
AM/2601L LUC-PTC 19
AM/2601L LUC-PTC 10
AM/2601L SBUC-PTC 19

also had AM/2601L BIUS-PTC 10 and AM/2601L BIUS-PTC 12

never owned drips but want some derbies, how do you like the kangaroo leather?

that's a lot of LUC! I like his kangaroo leather for footwear, it's the perfect spring/summer weight and the leather holds up just fine (had my derbies for 4+ years now). wearing the side zips now as a matter of fact as it's 28C/83F here in SEA today..

Ehhh well lots of exchanges and the color 19 i didnt anticipate purchasing. I am at work in san jose and its 77 here, wearing my sbuc.

i like horse best for everything because it holds share and is pretty resilient but i do need a nice derby for wearing formally occasionally and don't want black for the time being.

your derbies are like the below in black right?

I actually like the bison footwear best for the texture and leather thickness however I got a dog a couple of months ago and they're not the best for traipsing through the wet grass, etc. that he invariably likes to drag me through. that and it obviously rains a lot here in the PNW hence why I picked up the LUC pair to put in to the rotation.

yeah similar, a pic of mine from a little while back:

I get one size up, they're a bit too snug if I get my boot/derby size and I prefer a slightly looser fit for sneakers.

I'm a 6 in tornadoes, 7 in drips. So I'd recommend a 10 in the drips for you.
