IMO, ROOMS makes for an excellent Spring/Summer weight jacket; especially like the scar-stitch in it. ROOLS is a bit thin for my liking, but if lived someplace like LA then I'd get it.

Wide last ccp...

shank is like the 2010 version

comparison of last

As you guys can see the wide last is not that much wider but is more aggressive looking for casual wear whereas the narrow last can work with more formal items in the aesthetic most likely a ccp suit.

collection

left to right
L0, CCP wide last, CCP color19, CCp luc, CCP sbuc, a1923 culatta dual zip, ma+ horse backzip

was thinking something along the lines of a spring/summer weight leather in a lighter colour, say 033 light grey. maybe I should just go with CORS though haha.

I'm not a ROOMS/ROOLS expert so take this with a grain of salt, but the Kangaroo that Taichi Murakami uses is slightly nicer than anything I've felt from CCP. Felt like thin yet super strong horse. You're not going to be wearing it in the middle of summertime, but the unlined Taichi highneck in 'roo is gorgeous if you're looking for a lighter weight leather (and something different from CCP).

quick question regarding tornados.

I've noticed that some tornados have wider shafts than others. I was wondering if this was a season to season change?

Or if there are subtle differences in the width of the shoe among each pair, regardless of season? Possible difference in seamed vs seamless?

thanks in advance :D

All my tornados are 09/10 versions and as you can see in my pics the shafts are the same. I may be wrong but I believe the side zip shaft to be slimmer because the zipper cut is not a spiral.

I don't consider the shaft wide on any of my boots. Guidi shaft seems to be slimmest but that's by design.

Just curious what do you consider to be a wide shaft?

actually it's the other way around, the side zips are wider. most of the tornados are pretty similar, for whatever reason from memory a 2010 version in SBUC that I tried felt particularly wide but the other pairs I've tried have been pretty slim.

Ahhh my mistake I mix that up.

LOL at the sbuc thing, I think you and I discussed this before but my sbuc are consistent like all my other ccp.

thank you all for the responses!

and, my current boots have a circumference of 28.5 cm (Saint Laurent Wyatt Boot).

also, the top shoe looks wider, maybe its cause of the angle of the picture then? :puzzled:

maybe I just got an off pair or something. out of curiosity how is the SBUC leather when it gets wet? one of the downsides of BIUS is that it gets white spots (they wipe off easily enough), ROOMS & LUC/CUL don't have that issue.

i think sbuc might get some spotting due to rain but i can't recall atm. all i remember is having to clean after rain but thats expected.

yeah I figured the white tanned leather would be more susceptible to this however I don't have any issues with my ROOMS derbies or side zips.
