From what I see the firenze has more pronounced grain to it right? Any pictures of how the firenze ages? All the pics so far are of aged comp and z150 which I really liked with the smoother surface.

Also are the leathers all dyed black through out? Some leathers show beige colours at the creases once it get really worn in, are there any leathers that will remain black even when it's really worn in?

The Firenze is quite pebbled and grainy.  I'm going to look for a photo of how it ages.  We've always carried mostly Vanson's Comp. Weight Leather, so let me look around for an aged firenze photo...

All of these leathers are dyed all the way through...color loss / color fading won't be / isn't a problem on Vanson's standard leather offerings..  Color loss mainly occurs with Horween CXL hides and more expensive Veg.-Tanned leathers...  On standard chrome-tanned leathers, color-fading / color loss isn't usually a problem...

I think I am in for the comp weight or maybe the horse if I have the cash...

@Thurston Bros thanks for all the good info

I imagine that most people here will not want the Firenze leather.

This looks awesome. Will wait to see a fit pic first I guess.

Been following since page 1, at first was just curious but now I'm starting to regret ordering a schott 626. This is looking awesome.

I may order as well... we'll see.

Like I said, in for the British racing green, but out of curiosity how heavy is it? Any pics of it on a jacket?

In for a lighter smooth black leather option. Will be interesting to see all the hardware options.

Whom is going to be getting the hardware options?

He said we'd look at that once the sample is made.  Thanks for answering all the questions T Bros.  I guess now we wait?

Thanks

Sorry, more annoying questions from the peanut gallery - can we leave off the side cinches individually? I'm sure it's less trouble to just like, not add them to a given jacket, but I don't know how production works.

Gonna be a tough choice between the veg-tanned FQHH and Z150 for me..

Thanks so much for the great answers and communication Thurston Bros, will have to stop by when I'm back home in Seattle

Adding or deleting something like side buckles / straps isn't a problem for individual orders...

I think the Z150 is the more fashion-oriented leather, while the FQHH will be a more rugged, authentic look...(think Brando)...

Yes, definitely stop by the shop the next time you're in Seattle.  On any given day, we have over a quarter million in Vanson, Aero, and other premium leathers in stock!

Just to confirm, we won't have any sizing charts available until the prototype is finalized, correct?
