How much handwork is there on Loro Piana coats and jackets?

And who would be making them? Any information would be helpful and appreciated.

Well, we all know that by now. I just want to justify me buying a couple of (really nice) jackets for that astronomical prize.

If you like them, they fit probably and you can afford them then do so. How they were made is not important.

Well, apparently it's important, to me. I just want to know which maker I could compare them to, in terms of quality.

I think someone posted that Bagnoli makes them. If you can find and post a Bagnoli tag, I can compare to those in my sport coats.

Interesting, I've read that Bagnoli is often not even fully canvassed? Thanks.

I never looked before, it turns out there are no tags inside the pockets. Here are the tags that I do find.

BTW, handwork is minimal. Mine are unstructured -- as are most L.P. sport coats. So they wear like cardigans.

They are now owned by LVMH - though are said to be left to their own devices.

Go into a store and ask them, they would love that.

Well I'm not sure what you mean by "they would love that" but I did actually, after trying on a baby cashmere jacket. The person that helped me didn't even know they probably don't make the sportcoats themselves.
