Oh -- if I am in Pennsylvania I will have my sidearm as well. I don't like to fly with guns but now that concealed carry is legal in National Parks (that are in states that permit such things, and ones that have reciprocity with one of my CCW permits) I may reconsider. I'm less concerned about four legged predators than two legged ones so my sidearm is not a S&W 629 Classic.

Who the fuck carries a side arm on a day hike? Jeez but that's some wack shit.

Someone who has seen Deliverance.

Or hikes in the AZ, NM, or Texas border region?

What program are you using to touch these up? I love the way you've made certain colours pop.

Just got back from my little excursion. My brother and I ended up taking a few different trails totaling about 9 miles. The first part took us up 700' and then across the ridge, back down, and then switchbacks up and back down another hill in a loop. Got in the car and drove down to another area and did another loop that took us up 500'. It was nice as some trails were hiking only and only a couple feet wide (didn't see any snakes), and others were wide enough for a truck to drive through and allowed mountain bikers. Only saw a few people the whole time, but towards the end crossed paths with a couple college aged girls mountain biking in bikini tops.

All in all, it was a fun excursion and not too strenuous, but was either incline or decline 90% of the time. Not much wildlife though but it is in the middle of the city. Scenery was alright but nothing like the pics from the past few pages. The main point though is that my brother and I had a good time and I'll be doing some more research on other trails around the area...preferably with more water around.

I pulled my Dana Design pack out of the closet today and it had that characteristic musty smell that packs get after a while. So, I did a little research and found an excellent product called Mirazyme. Just soak it in a tub for 5 min and hang it to dry in the sun and it's pretty much back to new!

Anyone have any experience with MontBell UltraLight Thermawrap Parka?

Camped JT out of twin tanks lot and found a nice site. Went for a solo full moon walk w/ no light. Something caught my eye. It was a balloon with a note. I read the first two sentences and it was from a mother to her dead son in heaven. I dropped the note and put it back like i never found it. I immediately regretted the weed cookies.
