I will be visiting Florence for Easter. Wgat would you recommend (food, events etc.)?

Which stores should I visit? Is there a particular Florentine piece of clothing I should look into?

The Duomo and its Baptistery.  Amazing.

Easter should be memorable, I would imagine.

Enjoy.

Cheers,

Second the Duomo ... Go all the way to the top, well worth the long trip up. All the churches are memorable.

Trattoria da Mario to this day remains one of the best, yet simplest meals I've experienced ... only open for lunch, really small and you sit with the locals at communal tables.

Leather products are popular and you can find reasonably priced items if you look

Enjoy it's a beautiful city

It would seem that your priorities did not permit even scanning the
numerous recommendations already posted on this forum, so I will
make my usual contribution which I have made n times:

Florence:
Here's your store for non shoe leather goods

http://www.ottino.com/

I have one of their briefcases.
It is 30 years old. Looks great
and the lock still works. Not cheap

Lots of threads with suggestions for clothes, so I'll focus on the food. Hard to go wrong just about anywhere there, but…

For low cost and amazing pasta, this is my mainstay. Pangies. Small place but really friendly owner and delicious food.

For a quick sandwich and glass of wine, this is the highly popular I Due Fratellini. Walk-up window, blazing fast service, and good company in the street.

For a family-style trattoria and dining with strangers (love it), try Sostanza. The pasta is outstanding but their butter chicken is equally good. And they have a "house cake" that's made by a local baker, and it's probably the best dessert I've ever had.

If you are with family, have a car and a few hours to spend outside the city (it's about an hour drive out), I highly recommend La Cantinetta di Rignana. Read the reviews and, well, just go there.
