LOL his fit pic was the exact reason I cancelled my TOJ order and got a Sheene too! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Insurrection should give him credit towards his next jacket with all the PR he generated.

how much customization is possible with Vanson? Really like the chopper but those double belt straps are a bit too hardcore for me; can it be changed to a single buckle or removed? how about zippers and buttons?

You can pretty much do anything you'd like...

Taking the belts off of the Chopper is a bit of work because we have to take away the waist adjustment on the waist of the jacket.  However, it's perfectly do-able as long as we have the waist circumference that you'd like.  Doing a single buckle might look a bit strange given the large size of the kidney panel.

We can change buttons and zippers per each customers requests...

I really don't like collars on a leather jacket, but that one looks absolutely perfect.

Fit:  Quite fitted with slim biceps, shoulders, and chest.  For people who like a fitted front quarter horsehide cafe' racer, this is the Aero for you!

Styling:  We can also do this jacket with a Buco J-100 yoke and without the lower kidney panel.  However, to keep the jacket fitted, the split back is necessary.  If a fitted look isn't paramount, a one-piece back can be specified. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

some questions
1. Do you keep the Aero Sonoma Racer and Aero Fontana Racer consistently in stock or do i have to special order?
2. If i want pockets on the sides do i have to pre-order and if so how long would it take?
3. Which one fits slimmer of the two i mentioned above?

Hi sinnedk,

We keep the Aero Sonoma and Fontana Racers in stock in sizes 38 through 44.  However, most of our customers do prefer to go custom.  I think that when people are paying $1100.00 USD for the jacket, they want the jacket made exactly to their specifications (liner, hardware, pocket placements, etc.).

No problem on the handwarmer pockets...we're taking orders for July Production at Aero, so orders that get into that allotment will be delivered the first half of August...

The Aero Sonoma and Fontana are the exact same fit.  If you want something slimmer, the Aero Board Racer is the way to go...great slimfit jacket!

A waxy navy slim fit Enfield is the next leather on my list, unless I can find a TOJ1 first.

The Enfield is on my list as well. The smaller collar makes it. Love it in black with the brass hardware. Need to decide if I go for a slim or a regular.
Are there any good pics of the Enfield out there which shows the difference in fit from a slim to a regular?

Here's a shot of the standard Enfield.  We only do Tight Fit Enfield on a custom basis, as most people like the standard fit.  The Tight fit is .5 inches smaller through the chest and upper back...also, the biceps are slimmed down.

We've got our biggest annual event in North Seattle coming up next weekend--The Greenwood Car Show!  It's an amazing mile and a half of classic cars, hotrods, live music, and tons of food vendors...  We have a front row seat to the car show from our storefront, so feel free to swing on by Saturday from 12-6 (the car show is 8am-4pm).  If you want to avoid the crowds, we'll be open this Friday 12-6 and Sunday 12-4 as well!

Here are a few photos from past Greenwood Car Shows...

The Aero Fontana is a popular variation on Aero's Cafe' Racer...the details of this jacket come from classic 1960s southern California cafe' racer style.  Angled front pockets with Talon diamond pulls and a "V" yoke back are the hallmark features of this jacket!
