I've had a retro x jacket and vest and an archer ridge vest. The fleece is softer and more comfortable on the Columbia. I dont know if they always have used recycled materials, but older retro-x's seemed softer to me. They are both wind proof fleeces, or have a windproof membrane. The construction quality is slightly better to me on columbia japan. Something else that is not quality related that I liked is you won't see many other people, or any wearing the columbia line. Where I live most everyone rocks TNF, Patagonia, etc outdoor gear. Retro x vests are a frat guy staple.

How's the fit on the Columbia JP archer ridge jacket? I'm wondering if I should go L or XL. I usually wear an XL in slim fitting clothing and a L in standard sizes.

I dont know about the jacket, but I got a M and L in the vest, and the L was massive. Sized like an XL. I would ask someone on ebay for measurements because it didnt seem like a normal progression from one size to the next.

UK alert: Some simply mad steals to be had @Sandro right now. Just opened an online outlet with a lot of it being 80% off.

Patchy sizing and info on certain items but a lot in there. Grabbed a shirt and a technical windbreaker.

They just finished their mid-season "spend more, save more" event. I imagine the next sale will be at the end of the season. So, end of May or so.

Cheers for the heads up.

Unfortunately nothing I was interested in had my size but I picked up some sneakers at 80% off. Your right about the info on some items though as these sneakers have been titled as the Cylia shirt.
