Is it that time of the year? fall sales are starting?

It's always sale season somewhere

jeez, 50%. I have no idea how a store can offload fall in the first week of October and still pay rent.

That being said, it is Columbus Day Weekend, so we set up a modest coupon code for our shop. Does not pertain to a handful of our perennial brands, but you can save 20% on many new arrivals and a handful of core brands. If I were you guys i'd use the code to pick up one of the in house flannels, made at New England Shirt Co. Just enter "THREEBOATS" at checkout.

if you have any questions, or want to use the code for something that isn't available to purchase directly online, please email us (portlanddrygoods@gmail.com) or - ideally - call the shop (1-207-699-5575) - I'll be out in the woods today so I won't be able to see PMs until later this evening.

Have a good weekend everyone!

In what may be the least tasteful sales event of the weekend*, Indigo & Cotton is having a 20% off 'hurricane sale' with code 'allwet': https://indigoandcotton.com

*at least until someone comes out with the code 'genocideofinidigenouspopulations'

has anyone noticed anything strange about matches prices above/under duty threshold? I've been playing around with my cart and under $800, a pair of common projects are $410. When I go above $800, they turn into $386 + $24 in duty...Seems like they are charging the higher price even when it's not needed? I'm gonna email them to find out

I think since the duty threshold was lifted most overseas merchants figured out that they could quietly keep charging the VAT-included amount for items below the threshold and pocket the additional income.

Well, to be fair, it's not like they are in NYC.  They are located in the Carolinas, which have been hit as well.  I sorta feel that a joke on yourself make things at least a bit okay.  Sorta like how Aero had a sale of all the stolen goods that they had recovered and called it the "Grand Theft Auto" sale.

Yeah...but in this case hundreds of people have died.

I'm not saying it's necessarily offensive or that it would keep me from buying from those guys again, but it's in somewhat questionable taste. 'Too soon', maybe?

I noticed the prices of arenas have increased $50 from a month or so ago. Achilles have also gone up. I suppose it has something to do with brexit, but their prices are the same as US stores.

Hurricane sale is definitely in bad taste. 9-11 sale is off the charts. Holy shit how does that thing make it all the way to completion without someone stepping in and saying WTF?
