I had some great luck finding the Creed Aventus deal in Canada for $58.99. Found a lone bottle yesterday morning at my local Costco. I did not see any others and have checked almost every Costco around the city. It is clear that Kijiji has become flooded with them (for the $300 range which is still fair for Aventus compared to retail that is) and there is an elaborate scheme among Costco workers who are taking/buying all the Aventus they see in their locations. I've heard directly from a Costco employee that they aren't allowed to buy anything on the days they're working, but they will go as far as to hide stock in other areas of the store and come back on their days off to buy out the Creeds. One guy I was trying to buy one off of Kijiji claimed he can "always get more from his supplier", and fully admitted to me that he had a friend as an inside man providing him with stock but at a marked up cost. I'm not sure if you can call the deal fully dead because it's definitely YMMV and as soon as someone said it's deemed dead, someone will find a bottle or two randomly.

Global Rakuten has a 2000jpy off 20000jpy coupon available until 8/25. My code was at the top corner of their home page. Hurry up and buy.

Wouldn't exactly call it an "elaborate scheme". Also, If you reflect on the type of financial situation/state of mind you'd have to be in before getting into the fragrance resale game, I think you'd agree that they are sad people and it's ok to let them win this one.

Rapha has dropped a lot of sale items down to 50% (they usually don't get down this low): http://www.rapha.cc/us/en_US/sale/category/sale

For those not familiar, Rapha is a cycling company that makes really high quality gear, a lot of which isn't cycling specific. Two standout are their 100% Merino sweatshirt and their "Town Gloves" (of which I own 3 different pairs) both of which are fantastic deals at 1/2 off. Seriously, the town gloves are amazing and a steal at $122.

ps I'm also a fan of their merino base layers

Quality has taken a huge nose dive over past two years in my opinion since they've experienced accelerated growth

Yeah agreed on the quality. It was always overpriced for the gucci weekend biker set, but at least the quality was good. Now its overpriced AND the quality is pretty shitty. Good for the Chelsea/meatpacking district people tho I guess.

Thanks for the heads up, time to restock merino goods for the colder season. Do you have any real life pics of the Town Gloves? I am seeing some mixed reviews on those gloves, specifically mentioning how the dye bleeds to other garments and losing its shape over time.

edit: surprised to hear about the dip in quality. I always picked up merino baselayers from either Icebreaker or Rapha because they are pretty nice to touch and slim fitting. Is there any good alternative?
