They're quite fragile, no? I take good care of my belongings, but I like knowing something I purchased is substantial, regardless of how I may care for it. That's the only thing keeping me away from considering Mykitas.

I sat on mine by accident before and they seem no worse for the wear. I wear them quite a bit. YMMV.

Mykita's sheetmetal frames are one of the most durable ones out there IMO. They can feel flimsy, especially the ones from the lite line, but when the frames are bent they just snap back to shape. You'll have to be careful about the lenses as with most sunglasses, but the frames would be difficult to break. The only downside is that the hinges can loosen over time, but I believe that they can be readjusted. I don't believe IC! Berlin has that problem if you're looking for something similar. Lindberg's air titaniums are made with similar principles. Those feel even flimsier, but have developed a reputation for durability since the 80's.

forward dropped some prices on some things. The discounts may not show up on the main sale page. You must click the individual items. They have margiela futures in truffle that went from $420 to $253. I snagged a pear

Must've been popular though, they seem to have sold out already.
