www.lagarconne.com sale on now for up to 50% off

On the other hand, guys, it would be nice if you guys posted more sales links and codes.  There should be a nice balance between sales codes/sales and discussions about credit cards, etc...

@NoctoneIt wasn't a straw man. Cyc and jet were posting snarky comments at just about every question about a sale for a good minute, regardless of its crassness or entitledness or whatever other quality

And the point about rich was directed specifically at one person who was disagreeing with my identifying him that way. And I'm gonna stick to that one. And being able to buy one CP item on sale as a splurge is pretty different from being able to have a closet full of at retail SF beloved designers. And for that person, that 100-1000 off on a item may matter regardless of debates about financial wisdom.

Done ranting here though. It is what it is

On a tangentially related note, I think that what masquerades as "efficiency" is really "lazy".  I find that a lot of people want to be get three things done at once, but without the emotional investment needed to do any of those things well.  The stupid "fitbit" is a good example of something that enables this type of behavior, imo.  I mean, if you put in 45-60 minutes, at the gym, not allowing yourself to rest more than absolutely necessary, and going hard (whatever that means for your body), for 5 days a week, you are not going to need the fitbit to tell you that you walked an extra block to pick up your lunch,  This doesn't go for all people, but I have seen that stupid device used in lieu of an actual workout by many people.  It's simply not the same.  I know that for a lot of people, working out is not easy, but very little of worth comes easily.

Canali sample sale at Soiffer next Monday-Thursday. Anyone have experience with these? I'm looking for a few suits in 54/56EU. Didn't know how the spread typically is (mostly certain sizes or weird patterns)

@Regg make sure you're on the US site (or whatever country you are in). Sometimes I can't log in and it's always because the front page has reverted to a country other than the US.

Do I accurately remember horror stories about ordering online from Layers or am I getting them confused with another store? Some nice stuff in the sale.

Cheers for this one.  Grabbed a Stutterheim for $88.  I need it like I need a hole in the head, but I'll get good enough use of it for that price.  Checkout was a bit slow for me too, but not too bad.

That's a good price, but I never understood the appeal of Stutterheim. I would suffocate wearing it. I always found better, more breathable options for rainwear.

I have plenty of Mackintosh fabric outerwear (Cabourn not actual Mackintosh brand pieces) and while friends have had issues with it I never have much.  So I'm not too worried about the fabric, though I know it's not for everyone.  I also didn't just buy it as a functional piece.  I like the aesthetic of a basic Stutterheim, though again that's not for everyone either.

I really love mine, keeps me super dry - no regrets. Everyone should get one at that price so they can look like kanye from 2 years ago
