Just to mess with everyone, I wear a 44 in both CP Achilles and in the suede Buttero slip-ons I picked up from NMWA.

And I wear 41 in both Achilles and Taninos. I size down on their dress shoes/boots though. The Tanino is longer than achilles for sure, but it's the style and I have no heel slippage nor do I require an insole. It's longer, does not feel like a size bigger in terms of fit if that makes sense.

CP = Buttero size.  Same size.  Same sole.

Butteros may have a somewhat more generous last than CPs. I find my slip-ons to be more comfortable than my Achilles.

The volume may be different based on the last and material, yes. For example, Buttero in veg tan leather tend to fit very tight volume-wise for the first few wears. Other softer materials offer a bird more volume. CP tend to have a lower toe box

that is why I am one of those lurkers who don't post frequently. Because I don't want to be called out or be singled out for my spending habits. I come to this thread for information not for an argument. there is absolutely nothing wrong with being frugal and wanting a good product. It's called a value for money proposition.

Luxury goods are a fucking terrible use of your money if you're looking to maximize value.

We all assign a value to everything. I like common projects because singularly they are one of the most comfortable sneakers that I have worn, And that was back when I got them on sale for 130USD at a local store long long ago before they were so hip. So I would rather maximize my time by checking this forum than try to buy every alternative CPs out there to try them all

..... Good job? Frugality has its place, but it loses its place when speaking of veblen goods

Look at me i can econ101 too

besides, there are some people who want 1 very good item. and are willing to pay full value. There are some who want many items and can afford to pay full retail. There are some who want many items and want a discount, and there are some who want only 1 item and can only afford 1 item on discount. Everybody is different. To each his own definition of what value is.

If flaunting your ability to pay full retail is a badge of honour and you disdain those who can't or won't, I'm glad to have earned your derision to not wear that badge. If you feel that my money is not well spent because I choose to buy luxury products when I am penny pinching, well who is to say that you should tell me how to spend my money or more precisely doubt my financial security

That question of when the next discount drops are is quite useful because it allows you to time or watch your purchases. I don't like to impulse buy and its a good idea knowing when to expect the drop because I assume most people price compare? I also have a list of things that I MIGHT buy, but not absolutely essential. I want them but not especially so maybe 6-7/10 on a rating scale. Nice to have or good to have. Not Must have. So it is good to price watch. IMHO
