If I really wanted it then I would've copped at full price and wouldn't be having this discussion or be in this thread ya dig?

Yes but maybe a $5k jacket was out of your reach unless 50 off in which case it would be understandable knowhamsayin?

So you do understand my predicament. 50% vs 30% off a $5k jacket is a $1k difference, so then I can have the jacket and my blow.

All this back and forth was for naught.

Except that would be for something you really wanted which you don't, did you forget?

So, I completely understand that not everyone is comfortable with a specific item at a specific price, and that this varies from person to person, circumstance to circumstance.  It happens to all of us, unless you are gazillionaires, in which case I have a few internet properties I am sure you would be interested in.

That said, it's silly and a little entitled to expect the same level of service during sale time as during regular season.  Think of what it would be like in a B&M.  Not that different online.  A boutique with a ton of attentive SAs and a high SA to customer ratio is going to be run like a GAP in 1995.  It's all about volume.  You wouldn't expect the same service from a Michelin 3 star and a McDonalds.  So, if you are paying McDonald's prices, it's unrealistic to expect per se service.  It's just impossible.  It's not like there is suddenly 10x as many people to provide service for 1/2 the price.

Sigh.  Let's just enjoy the sales and stop the griping, guys.

What?

It all depends on how much you want something. Everyone has their own perceived value of things. We can go about buying $200-500 hoodies here and others will think we're nuts and wouldn't pay more than $30 for it.

Anyways I'm not trying to start and argument or debate on the buying power of the members here. Whether you can afford to shell out $5k for a jacket or $500, it doesn't matter to me. If you are willing to pay that $5k and think you are above us lowly $500 jacket peasants then do you. All I did was ask a simple question about the inevitable price drop that is coming. Seeing as this was a sales thread and people have been asking questions about discounts, I didn't expect to be stoned for the question. My apologies if it offended or insulted your values in fashion.

I don't think that's really the point. The point is that the sale literally just started today and you were already inquiring about the next round of discounts. Really, what's the point? It is inevitable, like you said but if you can't afford said item (or don't want to pay the current asking price) then what does knowing the next round of discounts do for you? Does it somehow change the fact you aren't willing to buy said item at the current asking price?
All it does is clog up this thread.

Same can be said for what is the point for asking for any sale? Someone inquired when the MrP sale was coming up and someone responded Monday and that was that. It gives you the opportunity to prepare yourself and not miss out since things move quickly. If it is a taboo for asking during the same day of the sale then I apologize. Let's just drop it and move on and stop clogging the thread.

The UK or European MrP sale usually starts later than the US one.

Last year it started on the 22/06, and the year before on 24/06
