So far, 7 of 10 visitors has left with something - so it can't all be bad

Please put the stuff online!!!

Agreed, didn't meant to downplay it too much. I left with plenty.

Real steals were the big pile of Inis Meain sweaters for $100 and the Eidos jackets for $500.

Got a feeling the one piece I've been waiting to see another drop on is there. Hope it makes it out alive and to a final online sale?

True story: Yesterday I went to the NMWA sale and left with nothing because I'm a goddam moron who can't read a calendar.

Worst part is I can't go either day it's actually happening foo.gif

Many people on this side of the forum generally don't think it's a good discount unless it's closer to 90% off and stack-able with a TBS code.

If you find the time and are able to eventually get things online, I'll certainly be happy with the 60% biggrin.gif

The sale was a wonderful experience! I thought the selection was really great, and the prices were fantastic.

Who the hell has time to scrounge clearance sales al week? If you're doing it for a living might as well just ship outlet stuff overseas.

Can't remember the price but it wasn't much different than the sale price when it was online, maybe $30 cheaper?

Are you saying this handsome leather and wool made in the USA jacket was available in any size I want for $248 and no tax? Dude that's a bargain.

Too many jokers in this thread are in a race to the bottom.

you would be surprised how big the lunch and after work crowds get for these sales in NYC

for stuff like the Louboutin sale that happened this week people pay line sitters $20/hour to get there at midnight

I got to NMWA at noon sharp and there were already 30+ guys in there, some post checkout

There was some nice knitwear but at the $150+ price point

You're ignoring the fact it sat on the website for about that price for a year or two before it landed in this sale. (As far as I saw nothing from the current sale page was there, no idea what their criteria for moving an item into this sale was)

Yes its an awesome item and the only one that caught my eye enough to remember it specifically after I left, but it still had a FSR after being 60% on the webstore for what I'm assuming is a while.

What these sales usually look like in the city is "we've had these items for way to long in store/online, now they're priced to move fast". Personally thats not what I saw. And maybe some of these buyers would have even been happy to purchase before the private sale for 5% higher, but didn't know about the website.

If any items end up online then thats just more proof, the more aggressive sales get cleaned out on the first day (J.Press this week was cleaned out of most stuff within 2 hours)
