When you say derby, do you mean oxford?

Anyone know the quality of 8 on yoox? Can't seem to dig up anything on the brand.

Just asked this question the other day, it is supposedly on par with mid-range brands. So a current prices worth the gamble.

To put it simply, but technically oxfords and balmorals are not interchangeable and neither are derby and blucher.

I'm interested in more information smile.gif

Oxfords are closed laced, derbies are open laced - Bal's are closed laced, blucher's are open laced. What am I missing (genuine interest!).

You're right all balmorals and oxfords are close laced and all derbies and bluchers are open laced.

Subtle difference.

Derby vs Blucher

Balmoral shoes/boots have a ""golosh" --the single piece that forms the vamp and quarters and wraps around or closes at the heel. Looking kind of like a pump with a top. Probably neither here nor there but important in the world of shoemaking.'

Anybody going? If so, anybody care to proxy a suede ballcap for me, preferably in navy?

That difference between Blucher and Derby blew my mind. Can't believe I didn't know that before...

$48 Woolrich denim shirt
Woolrich jacket
$25 Gant shirt
Drumohr cardigancrewneck, $20 polos
8 brand cashmere and $18 sweatshirt

Couple of Cantarelli suits at $160.  Ugly 3-button, but still oddly cheap.
any idea how those Gant shirts fit? I've only bought rugger before...

Check your e-mail for ebay codes... I just noticed I had a $20 off $100+ for their 20th b-day. Not sure what the criteria is for getting a code but that's one of the best ebay promos I've ever gotten.
