Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a dude. Also, the shirt buttons left over right.

Anybody have a recommendation for a decent deal on some jersey shorts that are more of a soft fleecy material rather than terry loop and have a thicker waistband (the kind that stays up without a drawstring)? Reigning Champ would be perfect, but they're all terry loop AFAIK.

Also, some markdowns at Indigo & Cotton: http://indigoandcotton.com/sale

Maas & Stacks, too: http://www.maasandstacks.com/collections/SS15-sale

Europe's retail is cheaper by at least 30% on a lot of designers.

Maas & Stack had some drops to 50% today, and new stuff added to the sale

Some Lardini Blazers at like 90% off and some other good deals to be had.

Vancouver Robson Street location had a full size run of the Golden Bear suede bomber, which is now sold out on the site. Still marked at $499, down from $950. I told the SA they were $199 online, and sure enough it rang in at $140 with the extra discount. Two mediums were left. I copped one and the SA grabbed the other. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

They're really rude about price matches. They have great customer service but will never price match, even if you buy something from them and 30 seconds later it goes slightly cheaper.

There's no obligation to do price matching... and half the time people here are trying to price match/adjust with things that aren't even in stock in the same size. Matches ships really fast / packs items well / doesn't cause me customs issues. That's plenty good enough.

The Club Monaco discounts on the Lardini jackets were easily the best discounts I've ever seen. Just over 90% off! Now whether I needed a smoking jacket is a different question.

I do notice that European brands get marked up but then we pay for LVC etc., so it works both ways.

I really think it should go without saying that the seller pays the return postage if they sent you a faulty item, independent of whether you benefited from free shipping. @Tiamig I'd contest that deduction.

I do like Matches on the whole, but they seem rather uptight sometimes about getting every penny out of you. I happened to place my first-ever order with them on a Saturday. On Sunday, they e-mailed me to say they needed proof from me that I was living at that delivery address (an electrical bill/something like that). I e-mailed back thanking them for processing my order even on a Sunday and that they handled customer payment data with care but added that I needed one day to get the documents together. A couple of hours later I get an automated dispatch confirmation without having provided any documents. Lo and behold, on Monday morning they're offering a 10 per cent discount code on everything. rolleyes.gif

As far as I know they do, provided things arrive back with them before they end their sales.

I believe they also re-offer unsold/returned sales stuff in the following sales period as they do on the US site, if you can wait that long.

Matches: I asked in-store one time if they would price match on a pair of Grenson boots. But it was a case of they were the only place that had the half size I needed and Grenson were cheaper by £10 or £15 but had sold out of the half size. The Sales Assistant did go and ask his manager but the manager refused, pretty blunt about it. Now if I could of got it elsewhere cheaper in the size I needed I would of walked away, but how you can expect to ask for a price match on an item that is available elsewhere but not in your size is really a non-starter. I never wore those boots and ended up selling them on eBay, but at least got back what I paid. Maybe it was a sign that I should of walked away? Can't say I'm a huge fan of the store, mainly because they don't stock many brands I like, but they are very efficient with online sales, returns etc. and their packaging is as good as it's gets.

I am wondering if Mr. Porter EU will have any old season stock to add, I would of thought they would of put it out by now or are they saving it for the final Sale day?

I sent an email before shipping about that cost and the guy diverted the topic of my email into making me send a picture of the fault in the item and how it would be taken care of upon arrival haha honesty I'm just going to activate that PayPal return refund thing they have going on, it's faster.
Also @Dingusberry , because of EU rules protecting buyers , you can't do a "Final sales with no returns" so you can never get many crazy discounts.
